Yes in business, mostly USB-only in economy. Turkish Airlines' business-class page lists a 'universal power outlet and USB charging units', and reviews of the 777-300ER, 787-9, A350-900, A330-300, A321neo and 737 MAX 8 business seats all find a plug socket. Economy is different: every economy review we found has a USB port at the seatback screen — USB-A and USB-C on the A350-900 and 787-9 — but reviewers found no economy plug socket on the A350, the A330-200 or the A321, and on the 777-300ER and A330-300 the reports contradict each other. Power banks: two per passenger, each 100 Wh or less, under the seat or in the seat pocket, never in the overhead bin — and Turkish Airlines says they 'cannot be charged at any stage of the flight and cannot be used to charge other devices.'

Do Turkish Airlines planes have power outlets? In business, yes — in economy, plan on the USB port.
Business: a universal AC outlet plus USB at the seat. Turkish Airlines' own business-class page lists a 'universal power outlet and USB charging units', and reviewers found one on the 777-300ER, 787-9, A350-900, A330-300, A321neo, A321 and 737 MAX 8. Where the USB connector is named, it's USB-A.
Economy USB is the constant: every economy review we found — 777, 787-9, A350, A330, A321neo, 737 MAX 8 — has a USB port at the seatback screen. USB-C sits alongside USB-A on the A350-900 and 787-9.
Economy AC is the gap. First-hand reviews found no economy plug socket on the A350-900, the A330-200 or the A321. On the 777-300ER and A330-300 the reports disagree, so don't count on one there either.
Power banks: two per passenger, 100 Wh or less, never in the overhead bin. Turkish Airlines bans charging a bank and using one to charge a device at any stage of the flight.

Every row below is a best guess until you sit down: Turkish Airlines swaps aircraft, and the socket that was there last month may not be there today. A bank under the 100Wh carry-on ceiling makes the whole table academic.

The best economy charging in the fleet, alongside the A350. A March 2026 economy review found USB-A and USB-C inputs on the seatback screen. In business, reviewers find electrical outlets and a USB port in the cubby beside the seat; nobody names the USB connector. No economy review we found mentions a plug socket either way, so bring the laptop charged.

USB-A and USB-C at every economy screen, and no plug socket. Two economy reviews say so directly: 'the Airbus A350 fleet restricts them to business class only', and 'seats don't have a universal power outlet for charging larger devices like laptops'. The same reviewer found the USB-C port too weak for a laptop. Business has a universal outlet and USB-A in a lockable cubby. One exception: some A350s came from Aeroflot, and a 2022 report found an outlet in their former premium-economy rows, now sold as economy.

Business is well documented: a February 2026 review finds a power socket beside the seat and a USB-A port in the same compartment. Economy has a USB port at every seat, next to an old Ethernet jack, in every review since 2017; none names the connector. The plug socket is where the sources split. A January 2024 economy review says there's 'a USB and a LAN socket, but not one for the regular charger'; a September 2024 piece says the 777s have outlets throughout. We can't settle it, so treat the USB port as your charger.

USB-A at every economy screen, in three separate reviews. The plug socket depends on which A330 you get, and Turkish flies several versions. A 2023 review found one outlet between each pair of seats, and a November 2025 review found a universal outlet under the seats. An April 2024 review found 'no in-seat A/C power in economy class'. Business has an AC outlet beside the seat, and on the ex-Skymark version USB-A in the centre console.

The oldest widebody in the fleet, and the thinnest evidence. Our one economy review found a USB port at each seat and 'a proper power socket for larger electronic devices was however missing'. That review is from 2020, and it doesn't name the USB connector. We found no review of the A330-200 business seat, so those cells stay unknown.

Business has a universal outlet and a USB-A socket under the armrest, in two reviews. In economy, a 2024 review found a USB port at the seat but doesn't say which connector, and mentions no plug socket either way. So there's USB at your seat, and you should pack a cable that fits both USB-A and USB-C.

The business seats have power outlets and USB ports. Economy has USB only: one reviewer wrote that 'power outlets are exclusive to the Business cabin onboard Turkish Airlines A321 aircraft'. On domestic flights the front seats are often sold as economy, and that's how that reviewer ended up with an outlet. Nobody names the USB connector.

Business has a universal outlet and a fast-charging USB-A port under the armrest. In economy, a 2022 review found a USB-A port at the seatback screen and calls it 'the one other port' besides the headphone jack, which suggests no plug socket but doesn't say so outright. Turkish Airlines' own page for the type mentions only 'USB ports for charging mobile devices'.

No source documents AC, USB-A or USB-C on the Boeing 737 MAX 9 · 737-800 · Airbus A319 · A320 — in any cabin. Treat it as a plane to board fully charged, and read that as a gap in the record rather than as proof there is nothing there.
We couldn't find a source that names the seat power on these four. Turkish Airlines' own pages say the 737 MAX 9 offers 'USB ports for charging mobile devices' and the A320 lets you 'charge mobile devices through USB connections', but neither says which cabin or which connector. The 737-800 and A319 pages say nothing about power. So expect USB at best, and board charged.
§ 04The power-bank ruleEffective Late April 2026
Carry it. But you can't use it in the air.
Applies on Turkish Airlines flights, per its restricted-items page. The page prints no effective date: it still carried the old wording in mid-March 2026, and the new rule followed Türkiye's civil aviation directive of late April 2026. AJet, the group's low-cost brand, publishes its own rules — check them separately. Turkish Airlines goes further than the Turkish regulator. The civil aviation authority's April 2026 directive banned charging a power bank on board and 'strongly discouraged' using one; Turkish Airlines' own page prohibits both.
01Two power banks per passenger, maximum, each 100 Wh or less (roughly 27,000 mAh). There is no approval tier above that: Turkish Airlines says banks over 100 Wh are 'prohibited'.
02Cabin only — never in checked baggage — and protected against short circuits.
03Not in the overhead bin: 'they are stored under the seat in front of the passenger and/or in the seat pocket.'
04No use and no charging in the air: 'They cannot be charged at any stage of the flight and cannot be used to charge other devices.'
05Wireless banks must be fully switched off and kept far enough from your phone that they can't start charging it by accident.

◈ Quirk 01
In economy, the charger is the screen
Every Turkish Airlines economy review we found has a USB port at the seatback screen. A plug socket is a different story: reviewers found none on the A350-900, the A330-200 or the A321, and on the 777-300ER and A330-300 the reports contradict each other. The A350 and 787-9 screens have USB-C as well as USB-A, but one reviewer found the A350's USB-C too weak for a laptop. Phones and tablets are fine; a laptop should board charged.
◈ Quirk 02
The A330 you get decides whether there's a plug
Turkish flies several A330-300 cabins, including five ex-Skymark aircraft. Economy reviews of the A330-300 range from 'a power port between each pair of seats' (2023) and 'a universal power outlet under the seats' (2025) to 'no in-seat A/C power in economy class' (2024). All of them found USB-A at the screen. You can't tell which cabin you'll get from the booking, so rely on the USB port.
◈ Quirk 03
Business-class power, even on the short hops
On the narrowbodies Turkish Airlines sells a proper business cabin, and reviews of the A321neo, A321 and 737 MAX 8 find a universal outlet plus USB under the armrest. On domestic flights those front seats are often sold as economy. One A321 reviewer got an outlet that way: 'If I was sat back at an Economy seat, then I would only have the option of USB ports.'
◈ Quirk 04
Crystal Business isn't flying yet
Turkish Airlines' new Crystal Business suite, with wireless charging, has been announced for new A350s and retrofitted 777s. As of late August 2026 it had not carried a passenger: new A350 deliveries with it are expected from November 2026, and 777 retrofits in 2027 or 2028. Until you see one on your seat map, expect the current seat's AC outlet and USB-A.
◈ Quirk 05
AJet is a different airline for this purpose
AJet (formerly AnadoluJet) is the group's low-cost brand. It's based at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and runs as a separate product with its own cabins and its own rules, and nothing on this page is sourced from AJet aircraft. If your ticket says AJet or VF, check its seat map and battery rules on its own site.
§ 06The Turkish Airlines flight packPower bank first
One bank first, then three backups.
Turkish Airlines bans both using a power bank and charging one in flight, so in the air you have the seat. In economy that usually means a USB port at the screen, not a plug socket: reviewers found no economy AC on the A350, the A330-200 or the A321. The bank is for the Istanbul connection and arrival; the GaN charger is for business, where every seat reviewed has a universal outlet.
A 20,000 mAh USB-C bank under 100 Wh is the most useful thing to pack for a Turkish Airlines trip. You can carry two but not use them in the air, so it earns its place on the ground: the Istanbul connection, the gate and arrival.

§ 07Questions about Turkish Airlines powerReal answers
Does Turkish Airlines have power outlets?
In business class, yes. Turkish Airlines' business-class page lists a 'universal power outlet and USB charging units', and reviews find one on the 777-300ER, 787-9, A350-900, A330-300, A321neo, A321 and 737 MAX 8. In economy, count on a USB port at the seatback screen rather than a plug socket. Reviewers found no economy AC outlet on the A350-900, A330-200 or A321, and on the 777-300ER and A330-300 the reports disagree.
Does Turkish Airlines economy have charging ports?
Yes, USB. Every economy review we found, on the 777, 787-9, A350-900, A330, A321neo and 737 MAX 8, has a USB port at the seat, usually on the seatback screen. The A350-900 and 787-9 have USB-A and USB-C; the A330-300 and 737 MAX 8 are USB-A. A plug socket is the exception: some A330-300 cabins have one shared between seats, and reviewers found none on the A350-900.
Which Turkish Airlines planes have USB-C?
The A350-900 and 787-9, both in economy, where reviewers found USB-A and USB-C on the seatback screen. One reviewer found the A350's USB-C port too weak to charge a laptop. Where a business-class USB port is named, on the 777-300ER, A350-900, A321neo and 737 MAX 8, it's USB-A. The new Crystal Business suite isn't in service yet.
Can I use a power bank on a Turkish Airlines flight in 2026?
No. You can carry up to two, each 100 Wh or less, in the cabin only, but Turkish Airlines says they 'cannot be charged at any stage of the flight and cannot be used to charge other devices.' They go under the seat in front or in the seat pocket, never in the overhead bin. Banks over 100 Wh are prohibited outright; there is no approval tier. The rule followed Türkiye's civil aviation directive of late April 2026.
Does Turkish Airlines business class have power outlets?
Yes, on every aircraft we found reviewed. Reviewers find a universal AC outlet with a USB port, usually USB-A, in a side cubby or under the armrest. That includes the 777-300ER, 787-9, A350-900, A330-300, and the narrowbody business cabins on the A321neo, A321 and 737 MAX 8. Wireless charging arrives with the Crystal Business suite, expected on new A350s from November 2026.
Do Turkish Airlines short-haul flights have power?
In business, yes: the A321neo, A321 and 737 MAX 8 business seats have a universal outlet and USB. In economy, expect USB only. Reviewers found a USB-A port at the screen on the 737 MAX 8 and a USB port on the A321neo, and one A321 reviewer said power outlets are 'exclusive to the Business cabin'. We found no reliable source for the 737-800, 737 MAX 9, A319 or A320.
Is AJet the same as Turkish Airlines for seat power?
No. AJet is Turkish Airlines' separate low-cost brand, with its own aircraft cabins and its own website. Nothing on this page is sourced from AJet aircraft, so check AJet's seat map and battery rules directly if your flight number starts with VF.
How do I check whether my Turkish Airlines seat has an outlet?
Check the aircraft type on your booking first. Turkish Airlines' fleet pages don't publish power by cabin, so use the table above. In business on any type, expect an AC outlet. In economy, expect a USB port at the screen, and treat a plug socket as a bonus that only some A330s have. On the A330-300 and 777-300ER several cabin versions fly, so the booking can't tell you for sure.
