§ 01How it worksThree steps

Three questions. One checklist.

No quiz, no account. The route and the date do the work — you answer three things and read the result.

Tell us the trip

Where you're flying from, where you're headed, and when. Three answers, fifteen seconds.

Get your checklist, instantly

We match your route to our plug database and build the list on the spot — power, connectivity, protection, gear. No sign-up to read it.

Let us run the clock (optional)

Add your email and we'll time the reminders to your departure — so you order, insure, and install at the right moment, not the panicked one.

§ 02A worked exampleUnited States of America → France

What it looks like for a United States of AmericaFrance trip.

The actual checklist the engine builds for someone flying United States of AmericaFrance in October — pulled live from our plug database, not a mock-up. Your trip builds the same way below.

Power

Adapter required

You'll need a Type C adapter for your Type A / B plugs.

230V is roughly double 120V — single-voltage hair dryers from home will not survive.

Connectivity

Saily eSIM

A Saily eSIM eSIM for France installs before you fly and switches on the moment you land.

Protection

Single-trip cover for France

A delayed bag, a clinic visit, a cancelled connection — a single-trip policy for France costs less than the adapter and the eSIM combined.

Gear

A short list, matched to your trip

  • FLASHSONIC European Travel Plug Adapter 2 Pack, 8 in 1, 4 AC Outlets 4 USB
  • Anker Prime Charging Station, 200W 6-Port GaN Desktop Charger
  • Anker Prime Power Bank, 20,100mAh 3-Port Portable Charger

Order by October 10 so it arrives before you fly.

§ 04Questions5 answered

The things people ask first.

What it is, what it costs, where the data comes from, and why we'd ever ask for an email.

What is this?
A free pre-departure checklist tool. You give it three things — origin, destination, departure date — and it returns the exact adapter, eSIM, insurance, and gear for your trip. Built for your route, your dates, your sockets. Only you, only this trip.
Is it free?
Yes, completely. The checklist appears on-screen with no email and no payment. Some links go to products we earn a small commission on, at no cost to you — that's what keeps the tool free.
Why do you ask for my email?
Only if you want it. The checklist is free to read without one. The email unlocks the timing service: this list in your inbox, plus short reminders keyed to your departure date — when to order so gear ships in time, when to lock in insurance, when to install your eSIM.
Does it work for cruises?
Yes. Switch the trip type to Cruise and pick your line — we match your cabin's outlets from our per-line database, swap in the cruise-legal gear (a non-surge power strip, never a surge protector), and weight the insurance toward medical-at-sea cover.
Where does the data come from?
Our own plug database and static reference tables — deterministic, no AI-generated specs. If we don't have verified data for something (a cruise line we haven't mapped yet), we say so rather than guess. The wrong plug spec is worse than none.
§ Built for this trip

Your route, your dates, your sockets.

The checklist above is built for one trip — yours. When you need the wider reference, the packs, field guides, and country references pick up where the engine leaves off. Flying? The seat-power guide maps which seats actually have outlets. Sailing? The cruise cabin-power guide covers every major line.
