Can I bring a power strip on Royal Caribbean?
No. Since September 2024 the line bans power strips, extension cords, surge protectors, and multi-plug AC adapters. Cabin attendants and embarkation security confiscate them. The only multiplier permitted is a USB-only wall hub — one AC plug, multiple USB ports — which must carry US or EU compliance markings.
Which Royal Caribbean ships have USB-C in the cabin?
Only Icon class so far — Icon of the Seas (2024) and Star of the Seas (2025) — with 4× USB-C per cabin spread across the vanity. Every other Royal Caribbean class is USB-A only at best, and Oasis / Freedom / Voyager / Radiance ships in their original build configuration had no USB at all.
How many outlets does a Royal Caribbean balcony cabin have?
Two US 110V outlets and one European 220V outlet at minimum on every class. Quantum class adds a third US outlet. Icon class adds two USB-A and four USB-C on top. Most ships place all sockets at the vanity desk — bring a long cable if you charge at the bedside.
Are CPAP machines exempt from the Royal Caribbean power-strip ban?
Yes, but only with the Guest Special Needs Form submitted 30–60 days before sailing. Approved CPAP users may bring a non-surge extension cord (or request distilled water) — but the device must be flagged in advance and cleared by the access team.
