Old wiring, brownouts, one outlet. Your gear, protected — honestly.

No fear-selling. The honest truth first: a good GaN charger is the surge protection your phone and laptop actually need. Then the worldwide adapter that works where a US strip can't, a power bank for brownouts, and the special-case gear for US-only outlets or a long stay on bad wiring. Every item Amazon-verified in stock at publish.

§ 01The verdictWhat actually protects your gear

The honest truth. Four cases.

Most travelers are over-sold on surge gear. The truth: your chargers are dual-voltage and handle dirty power, so a good GaN charger covers your phone, laptop and camera. A worldwide surge adapter protects the odd AC device; a power bank sidesteps brownouts entirely; and a US-only strip or a battery station are genuine but special cases. We'd rather tell you that than sell you a box that doesn't protect.

TESSAN

TESSAN Universal Travel Adapter 100W GaN

TESSAN 100W universal travel adapter — every region's plug shape with GaN USB-C built in, so your laptop AC and phones run off one dual-voltage adapter. Plug shape only — never a voltage converter.

Anker Prime Power Bank, 20,100mAh 3-Port Portable Charger

Anker Prime 20,100 mAh — the surest protection from bad wiring is not plugging in during a brownout. Charge from clean battery instead; airline-legal at 72.4 Wh.

Belkin 12-Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip, 3780J, 8ft Cord, 3 Pack
Belkin

Belkin 12-Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip, 3780J, 8ft Cord, 3 Pack

Belkin 12-outlet surge protector — a genuine surge strip, but US 120V only: great for an old US motel or a lodge with one outlet, useless and unsafe on Europe/Asia's 230V. Single-buy because it's region-locked.

Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 Portable Power Station,1070Wh,1500W
Jackery

Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 Portable Power Station,1070Wh,1500W

Jackery Explorer 1000 — the one thing that fully isolates your gear from bad wiring: clean, regulated AC straight off a battery, immune to brownouts and surges alike. At ~1,000 Wh it can't fly, so it's for a road trip or an extended remote-work stay — overkill for most, the real fix for the worst wiring.

Two power tools that aren't for everyone.

The Belkin strip is a true surge protector but US 120V only — perfect for old US motels, won't work on 230V abroad. The Jackery station gives fully clean, isolated AC that beats any surge strip, but at ~1,000 Wh it can't fly — it's for a drive-to trip or a long stay. Both are single-buy, not in the add-all cart, so you only get the one that fits your trip.

§ 04QuestionsAbout this pack
Will a surge protector stop my laptop frying in a brownout?

No — that's the key misunderstanding. A surge protector clamps sudden spikes; it does not fix a brownout or low voltage, the most common problem in older grids. For most travelers the real answer is simpler: your laptop and phone chargers are dual-voltage and already handle variable power. Charge from a power bank during a brownout, and only a battery station like the Jackery truly isolates you.

Can I take a US power strip to Europe or Asia?

No. A US 120V strip won't physically fit a 230V outlet and isn't safe on it. Abroad you need a worldwide-rated travel adapter with surge (like the Ceptics) — and never a voltage converter, since your gear is already dual-voltage.

Does travel insurance cover a fried laptop?

Usually not — power-surge damage to electronics is a common exclusion. The honest coverage path is your credit card's purchase protection (often 90-120 days) or the device's warranty. Heymondo covers you — medical, trip, theft — not your fried hard drive.

Do I even need any of this?

Maybe not much. For phones, laptops and cameras a good GaN charger is genuinely enough. The adapter matters for plug shape abroad; the power bank helps during brownouts; the surge strip and station are for specific cases. We'd rather say that than sell you a box that doesn't protect.

Does 'Add all to cart' add everything?

It adds the universal core — chargers, adapter and power bank. The US surge strip and the Jackery station are single-buy because each only fits certain trips. Insurance is a separate Heymondo quote.
